Trisha Pope

Trisha Pope has a unique career. It combines her love of music and voice with her abilities as an intuitive and a healer.

She trained in classical music, played folk and jazz flute, toured as a jazz vocalist with many bands. This included the Montreal Jazz Festival for six years and concert/club venues in British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario. In 1992, she released a jazz CD with Jazz Inspiration of Toronto entitled ‘Trisha Pope’.

On a Quebec Arts Council grant, she travelled to India in 1993 to study karnactic singing. She was drawn to the sound of intentional sacred singing. When she returned, she studied music therapy and sound healing work from shamanic and Tibetan Buddhist sources. Trisha began teaching sound healing seminars; one-on-one client work, and conducting community choirs. Her composing and arranging work took on her interest in the healing qualities of sound. In 2004, Trisha released her CD "Song I Learned From Trees- Songs for Coming Home".

From 1995 to 2013 Trisha taught in the Energy Medicine Program of Institute NHC, a natural healing school in Montreal. She taught Sound Healing Techniques, Intuition Training, Clairvoyant Training as well as conducting song circles, choirs and rituals.

Trisha lives in Sutton Quebec where she directs the Sutton Gospel Choir. For information about singing with the choir or attending a concert – please go to Trisha's blog.Trisha's blog contains updated information on her workshops in the Quebec area.
